Series - Choix

The series CHOIX suggests a reflection on our choices and the dual reality that is made up through them.

 

Leca Araujo re-signifies doors, windows, and drawers (recycled or made from recycled materials) through an embroidery of paints, buttons, and fabric scraps.

 

According to the artist, these artifacts symbolize choices we make every millisecond. In her perception, by means of the reuse of materials, the pieces bring with them the energy in which they were immersed in their previous scenario.

 

Inside a combination of concepts from quantum mechanics, hermetic philosophy, and Jungian psychoanalysis, she evokes the symmetry between the mental and material worlds.
